JUMP START YOUR RUNNING: TRAINING TO AVOID INJURIES FOR ALL LEVELS OF RUNNERS Presented by Anne Millikan UAC Party Room
Whether you have never run a race or are a veteran runner, this workshop is for you. First you will learn how to train in the off-season of running including strength training, flexibility, and plyometrics. In addition, we will be addressing common running injuries and how to prevent and/or treat them. Finally, we will talk about various training plans for the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon. Also included is a “Couch to 5K Plan” for beginners. So, get your shoes ready…sign up for a spring, summer or fall race… and run injury free!
