Nutrition Consultant

Universal Athletic Club is seeking Part Time Nutritional Consultant, with Health & Wellness Experience, to join our team of professionals in our Nutrition and Wellness Center. In the NWC we concentrate on nutrition, wellness, and making positive changes in the lives of many. We mainly focus on Weight loss and positive dietary changes to improve people’s lives. The ideal candidate will possess a background in Public Health or Nutrition within the wellness field. This individual will possess excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and by phone. Prior experience and training in nutrition, and/or weight loss preferred.

Primary responsibilities include accountability consultations on nutrition and weight loss. The candidate must possess knowledge of nutrition and demonstrate the ability to coach others on lifestyle changes and behavior modification. The consultant will work under a Registered Dietitian They will be responsible for checking body composition, and tracking client’s progress on a weekly or biweekly basis.

Administrative Duties:

  • Conduct follow up calls to clients to discuss their progress and address any concerns.
  • Refer non-routine, sensitive and/or complex requests for information and other inquiries or complaints to the appropriate staff member.
  • Ensure that each client receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every client, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service.

Part-time-Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays: 5-8pm, and Saturdays 8-12

Front Desk Attendants

Our Front Desk Team is responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Universal Athletic Club members, prospective members and guests. We are looking for a part-time team member to work evenings and weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions
  • Check members into the system.
  • Essential knowledge of UAC and all it’s programs.
  • Effective and efficient with cash, check & charge transactions.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Laundry for entire facility
  • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Supervisor or Executive Director as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Customer service/hospitality background preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • A passion for fitness and health.
  • Upbeat and positive attitude!
  • Punctuality and reliability is a must.
  • Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member’s expectations.

Personal Trainers

Personal trainers are responsible for the safe and effective execution of individual and small-group fitness training sessions, in accordance with proscribed programming and techniques and the standards and expectations of Universal Athletic Club. With the appropriate cardiovascular, flexibility, and resistance training, the Trainer is responsible for helping individuals reach their desired health and fitness goals.

We are seeking both full-time and part-time positions.

Full-time position requires a minimum of 25 scheduled training hours per workweek and at least 5 office hours per week depending on the volume of clients trained.

Part-time position requires a minimum of 10 scheduled training hours per workweek.

We are specifically seeking coaches for evening hours. These hours may range from 2pm to 9pm depending on the shift, class schedule, or client appointments.

  • Nationally recognized personal training certification REQUIRED. For the right candidate we will be willing to facilitate the proper certification within an agreed upon timeframe.
  • Current CPR certification
  • High School, GED, or Equivalency REQUIRED

Universal Athletic Club is currently seeking fulltime FEMALE housekeeping/custodial positions. Both Day and evening shifts available. Duties include, but not limited to: locker rooms (hence FEMALE requirement), equipment maintenance, sweeping, vacuuming, seasonal snow removal and general attention to detail.
