Yes. The front desk attendant can manually check you in. We prefer you bring your card for security reasons but you can still have access to the club without it. You can also enter by using the check button on the club app. Visit your app store to download
Yes! Non-members can bring their children for a fee for a 2 hour time frame. You can also purchase a Pay For Play Punch card: https://store.universalathleticclub.com/collections/kids-at-universal/products/10-kidmazium-visits-for-59-95
You cannot leave the building while your child is in the Kidz Klub. You do not, however have to stay in the Kidz Klub. You can use anything inside the club (Blu, gym equipment, lobby, etc). You just have to remain inside Universal.
We have many members who choose to utilize our aquatics center/group training classes as their main source of exercise and we are so happy that this will be a good fit for you. Our memberships allow access to all areas of the club giving you the option to be flexible with your routine.
No. We would love to have you join us for the day/week and have options to do so.
YES! We provide an integration program that is guaranteed to help you be successful in your journey. There is an option for every fitness level and we will help guide you to the program that is best suited for you.
We have many membership types that allow us to customize each individual membership. We offer discounts for Veterans, young adults and seniors and offer a variety of training programs that you could implement into your membership. We would be happy to discuss the option that would be best suited for you.
Perkville is a special Rewards Program for our members, allowing Universal to show our appreciation for your participation and loyalty. Joining Perkville is not only completely free but you also earn 100 points just for accepting the invitation! All! Any age is welcome to join us in the pool for swim lessons!
If your child is under 10 years old (regardless of swimming ability), they must be within an arm’s reach of you at all times while in the pool. Any swimmer under the age of 18 has to pass a swim test in order to be in the pool unsupervised.

Swim Center FAQs
No. You do not need to be a Universal Athletic Club member to take swim lessons. Our swim lessons are available to both members and non-members, making it easy for children and adults throughout the community to learn to swim, improve their skills, and become more confident in the water.
Our indoor Swim Center offers something for nearly everyone, whether you want to exercise, learn to swim, recover, or simply enjoy the water. Amenities include a main pool for lap swimming and water walking, a deep-water pool, a 92° warm-water pool, hot and cold tubs, a steam room, swim lessons, and a variety of Aqua Fitness classes.
Yes. Access to the Swim Center is included with your Universal Athletic Club membership. Members can enjoy lap swimming, family swimming, water walking, and our pools as part of their membership. Aqua Fitness classes are also included at no additional charge. Some specialty programs and swim lessons have an additional fee.
Yes. We offer swim instruction for a wide range of ages and abilities, from infants and children learning essential water skills to adults looking to become stronger, more confident swimmers. We also offer specialized options including adaptive lessons, survival swim, and Masters Swim.
That's exactly what swim lessons are for. Our instructors help swimmers build skills and confidence at an appropriate pace based on their current ability. Whether you're introducing a young child to the water or you're an adult who has never felt comfortable swimming, it's never too late to learn.
Yes. Our Adaptive Swim Lessons are available for youth through adults with physical, cognitive, or sensory challenges. Instruction is customized to the individual in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment, helping swimmers develop water safety skills, confidence, and greater comfort in the water.
Absolutely. Our main pool includes dedicated lanes for lap swimming. Five lanes are reserved for lap swimming on weekdays from 5-7 AM and weekends from 7-9 AM, and at least one lane is available for lap swimming throughout the day. Swimmers may be asked to share lanes during busy times.
Aqua Fitness gives you an effective full-body workout while reducing stress on your joints. Universal offers several different options, including Aqua Fusion, Aqua Dance, Aqua Bootcamp, Active Agers, Aqua Stretch, and Aqua Tai Chi. All UAC Aqua Fitness classes are included with membership and are led by certified fitness or swim professionals.
Not necessarily. Our Aqua Fitness program offers options for different ages, fitness levels, and swimming abilities. Water provides natural resistance while reducing impact on the body, making Aqua Fitness an excellent option for exercise, cross-training, active aging, and those returning to activity after an injury.
Yes. Our 92° warm-water pool features aqua jets and a bench seat, making it a great option for gentle movement, relaxation, and warm-water exercise. The Swim Center also includes an 82° main pool, an 82° deep pool, a 102° hot tub, and a 52° cold tub.
Getting started is easy. Contact our Aquatics team/MemberServices to learn more about lesson options and find the right program based on age, swimming ability, and goals. Swim lessons can also be conveniently scheduled online through the UAC booking system.
Recovery FAQs
Universal Athletic Club offers several recovery tools to help you feel better between workouts, including HydroMassage, Theragun PRO percussive therapy, NORMATEC compression therapy, and our Cold Tub. Whether you want to reduce soreness, relax tight muscles, or simply unwind after a workout, there are options to make recovery part of your fitness routine.
Many of our recovery options are included with your Universal Athletic Club membership, including Theragun PRO, NORMATEC compression therapy, and access to the Cold Tub. HydroMassage availability depends on your membership or HydroMassage access.
Your body doesn't get stronger only while you're working out—it also needs time to recover. A consistent recovery routine can help reduce muscle soreness and tension, support circulation, improve mobility, and help you feel ready for your next workout.
HydroMassage allows you to enjoy a relaxing, targeted massage while remaining fully clothed. Warm water and pressurized jets massage the body to help temporarily relieve minor aches and pains, reduce muscle soreness and tension, promote relaxation, and increase circulation in the areas being massaged. Universal has seven HydroMassage lounge chairs across three dedicated recovery rooms.
NORMATEC uses compressed air to provide a dynamic compression massage to your legs, arms, or hips. It's designed to help improve circulation, reduce soreness and swelling, decrease muscle fatigue, and support faster recovery between workouts. Best of all, NORMATEC is included with your club membership.
Theragun PRO is a professional-grade percussive therapy device designed to provide deep muscle treatment. It can be used to help release muscle tension, soothe discomfort, and support recovery. Theraguns are available at Universal and their use is included with your club membership.
Cold-water immersion can be a useful part of a recovery routine, particularly after challenging workouts. Our Cold Tub can help reduce muscle soreness and inflammation while providing an invigorating way to finish your workout or recovery session. The Cold Tub is located in the Aquatics Center and is included with your club membership.
It depends on the recovery method and your goals. Some recovery tools can be used before exercise to help prepare your body to move, while others are ideal after your workout to help you relax and recover. Our team can help you decide which options make the most sense for your routine.
No. Recovery isn't only for days when you're sore. Making recovery part of your regular fitness routine can help you manage muscle tension, support mobility and circulation, and feel better between workouts. Think of recovery as part of your training—not just something you do when something hurts.
Universal's club recovery options give members convenient access to tools like NORMATEC, Theragun, HydroMassage, and the Cold Tub as part of their regular fitness routine. Kidz Klub FAQs
Kidz Klub is Universal Athletic Club’s on-site childcare option designed to give parents time to work out while their children enjoy a fun, supervised environment. Kids can play, interact, and stay active while parents take advantage of everything the club has to offer.
Kidz Klub is designed for children within our designated childcare age range. Because age requirements can vary by program or area, please check our current Kidz Klub guidelines or speak with our team before your first visit.
Yes. Kidz Klub is designed to provide childcare while you are using Universal Athletic Club. A parent or guardian must remain on the premises while their child is checked into Kidz Klub.
Kidz Klub is about more than simply waiting for Mom or Dad to finish a workout. Children can play, socialize, and enjoy age-appropriate activities in a space designed specifically for them.
Yes. Our Kidz Klub team supervises children while they're in our care, giving parents the freedom to enjoy their workout knowing their children are being looked after in a dedicated environment.
Kidz Klub visits have a designated time limit so we can provide a great experience for all of the children in our care. Check our current Kidz Klub policies for the latest visit limits and availability.

Kidz Klub access depends on your membership and childcare option. Our Membership Team can help you determine what's included with your membership and explain any available childcare plans or pay-per-visit options.
No! You don’t have to be a Universal Athletic Club member for your child to enjoy Kidz Klub. Our Pay for Play option allows non-members to take advantage of Kidz Klub, giving your child a fun, supervised place to play while you get some time for yourself.

Bring anything your child may need to be comfortable during their visit, based on their age. Be sure all personal belongings are clearly labeled, and check our current Kidz Klub guidelines for any restrictions on food, drinks, toys, or other items.

Kidz Klub gives parents an opportunity to make fitness part of their routine without always having to arrange separate childcare. Absolutely. We offer aquatic classes. In addition, all of our land-based classes for older adults are low-impact that are easy on the joints while still being highly effective.

Yes. We offer Gentle Yoga classes that use a chair for both seated and standing options, with no floor work.

Group Fitness Class FAQs
Yes! Every group fitness class on our schedule is included with your Universal Athletic Club membership. From Les Mills and HYROX to yoga, cycling, strength, and dance, you have unlimited access to every class at no additional cost.
We offer more than 100 classes each week, including strength training, cardio, HIIT, cycling, yoga, Pilates, dance, HYROX, stretching, and recovery-focused classes. Whether you're just getting started or looking for your next challenge, there's a class that fits your goals and fitness level.
Start with any class that interests you. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early to meet the instructor, who will help you get comfortable and answer any questions. New members are encouraged to use our Smart Start approach—participate for the first 20 minutes to learn the format, then gradually stay longer as your confidence grows.
Expect a welcoming environment. Arrive about 10 minutes early so your instructor can introduce themselves, help you set up any equipment, and offer modifications if needed. Don't worry about getting every move right—everyone starts somewhere, and you'll become more comfortable with each class you attend.
No reservation is required. Simply show up and join the class. You're welcome to register through the app for your own accountability, but classes are generally first come, first served and registration does not reserve a space.

No. The Recovery Center is open to everyone. You can purchase individual sessions, packages, or a Recovery Center membership—even if you're not a member of Universal Athletic Club. Club members also receive discounted pricing and have the option to add Recovery Center access to their membership.

- The puree we use is whole foods (100% pure fruits and vegetables).

- Yes, within 30 to 45 minutes you want to refuel your body from your workout. This will keep your metabolism elevated and continuing to burn fat rather than your muscle.
- Ideally, you should replace all the calories you burned during your workout for optimal results. This is even if you are trying to lose weight. This keeps the furnace burning at an optimal level.
Yes, you may! We have pre-order forms at the café with the standard shakes listed, but you may write in a current or previous shake of the month. If it is a milk-based shake, then list if you want whole, skim or almond milk.
- Protein is a basic food group. Protein in the body builds and restores muscle.
- Our protein is very clean.
- Protein in a powdered form such as we use in our shakes, is no different than the protein you would get in a burger, chicken or protein bar, for example.

- Yes, we will gladly work with you to figure out what you can have in your shake and still enjoy it. There are a myriad of options available.
- We have a nut free blender we can use upon request for those who have nut allergies. We take extra precautions in serving your shake as well as in the cleaning and sanitizing of the blender cup and lid. Just ask us to make the shake in the nut free blender. This means no almond milk may be used in this blender,
- Yes, we have nutritional information on all of our shakes. Just ask a café attendant and we will gladly help you. If it is busy, we may need to ask you to wait a moment so we can get caught up taking the orders and then spend the time needed giving you our undivided attention. We are here to help you!
